Whole Foods Market introduced
themselves to Uptown New Orleans by securing a retail
space within one of the City’s most infamous
buildings. This immense 62,500 square foot Whole Foods
build-out at Arabella Station required substantial
efforts to transform it into the exquisitely complex
one-of-a-kind grocery shopping experience. In short,
it required new plumbing and electrical service, a
new concrete slab, new drywall partitions, painting,
staining of concrete flooring, ceramic tile flooring,
epoxy flooring, new air conditioning system and refrigeration
units and new millwork to match the original splendid
detail of the building. The work began in approximately
May of 2002 and was completed in December of 2002.
