Whole Food Market is the anchor tenant at this familiar Veterans Boulevard site that was previously occupied by an automobile dealership. This project consisted of first, the demolition of the existing building and site paving, afterward performing substantial site work, pile-driving, and the construction of a 52,200 square foot concrete block, brick and plaster building. The interior work required the installation of an overabundance of underground utilities under and within a new concrete slab, drywall partitions & fur-downs to be constructed and painted, staining of concrete floors, ceramic tile and epoxy flooring, over 170 tons of HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration cases. Work began in December 2004 and will be completed in May 2005.
